Castle Rock, a 14-acre island less than a half-mile from the Crescent City shoreline, is one of the most important seabird nesting colonies on the Pacific Coast. Get a rare glimpse at this amazing place on an ocean kayaking tour with Redwood Rides.

​The varied habitat of the island makes it unique on the West Coast, allowing it to host more than 100,000 breeding seabirds of 11 different species. The island is also an important habitat for harbor seals, northern elephant seals, California sea lions, and Stellar’s sea lions.
