The historic Battery Point Lighthouse has been guiding sailors since it was first lit with oil lamps in 1856, and it is even still run by a resident lighthouse keeper today.

​This rocky coastline is a favorite hangout for gray whales, sea lions, and sea birds, so you might enjoy some incredible wildlife sightings! Views of the 5,000- to 7,400-foot peaks of the High Siskiyou mountains can be enjoyed on a clear day from the water, as well.
